Getting started with Good Change is simple: (1) Register on our platform by creating an account as an individual or company, (2) Set your monthly donation budget—any amount you're comfortable with, (3) Choose one or more charities from our extensive list that align with your values, and (4) Your donations are processed automatically each month through secure Stripe payments. We aggregate all donations and distribute them to charities within 5 business days of the end of each month.

Yes, there is a minimum donation amount of $5 per charity. However, we believe in making giving accessible, so there's no maximum limit, and you can contribute as little as you're comfortable with overall. The power of loose change—even 50 cents a day—can create significant positive impact when combined with contributions from others.

Payments are securely processed through Stripe, one of the world's leading payment platforms. When you register, you'll set up a payment method (credit or debit card), and your donations will be automatically processed each month as recurring subscriptions. Your payment information is encrypted and stored securely—we never have access to your full card details.

Tax deductibility depends on the charity you're donating to. Many charities registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, which may make your donations tax deductible. We recommend consulting with a tax professional or checking directly with the charities you support to confirm their DGR status and your eligibility for tax deductions.

Good Change offers two main account types for donors: Individual accounts for personal giving, and Company accounts for businesses wanting to support their communities. Charities can also register on our platform to receive donations. Each account type has specific features tailored to their needs while maintaining the same commitment to transparency and impact.

Charities can register directly through our platform during the registration process by selecting the 'charity' account type. You'll need to provide charity details, bank account information for receiving donations, and agree to our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Once verified, your charity will appear in our charity search directory and can start receiving donations from our community of givers.
